According to the foundation, its aim is to fashion a space whereby they can engage the participants with a focus of delivering sharp value with little to no interruption. The community accepts everyone irrespective of experience or skill level regarding the projects and development of DApp or other frameworks of IOTA.

The server also has a function to discuss ideas, resources, and solutions to the particular problems of the IOTA network. It fosters good relations between the old and new developers, hence impart across and exchange of skills between them.

IOTA Foundation Plans Mainnet Shift to Rebased Protocol

Furthermore, the IOTA Foundation has plans to transition the mainnet to the Rebased protocol to change its strategy to decentralization and network growth. This comes after criticism that the firm has taken too long to release IOTA 2.0, castigating their development direction. Nevertheless, transitioning to the Rebased protocol opens the ecosystem up to a new idea and a new way forward.

The foundation states that Rebased will add to the IOTA blockchain better programmability, compatibility with other platforms, and accessibility. These updates are meant to bring more value to IOTA and users and with a focus on three core areas, including the tokenization of assets as well as the creation of decentralized applications – or dApps.

The IOTA Foundation sees the change to the Rebased protocol as a defining moment for the ecosystem, which it defines as a “sink or swim” situation. Nevertheless, the foundation considers that the new protocol captures the vision of the open, sound, and scalable network capable of responding to real-world needs.
